The PACE Mentoring Program is a program of the National Girls and Women of Color Council, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization located in Jersey City, New Jersey. PACE Mentoring is a unique, high quality, one-to-one mentoring, e-mentoring and group mentoring program created using the holistic approach to address the unique needs, challenges and issues of teens and young women of color from underserved communities. Activities include workshops, providing advice, coaching, guidance and resources relative to personal enrichment, academic success, career exploration and planning and extracurricular achievements, e-workshops, group discussions, field trips to cultural events and community service events.
The PACE Mentoring Program is the first program in Jersey City, New Jersey to focus on the:
- unique needs, visibility, voices, experiences, challenges, issues and traumas of teens and young women of color
- psychological, emotional, physical and social well-being and growth of teens and young women of color, while focusing on
- personal enrichment, academic success, career exploration and preparation and the pursuit of extracurricular interests for teens and young women of color.
